Hello and welcome to Weeartbox,
I’m Ness Johnston a Scottish Artist “I enjoy showcasing nature through various mediums, particularly expressing my fascination with the forest and wildlife that inhabit in the Galloway Forest. For me, this represents the profound connection between humans and nature, demonstrating that we can coexist harmoniously within the same environment,
how art and nature can come to benefit us all. As art itself can be away of escaping the stresses of everyday life and in that moment, we let our self’s embrace The Arts, Culture and what it has to offer we are free for that space of time on what going on around us.
I was lucky enough to study Art and Design, New Media Art right up to my current studies that I have finished for my MA.
I strongly believe that art can be a voice for people that don’t always have that chance to express what they feel, and rural communities can feel so isolated to some people that live there, so bring art to those people and this can bring communities together with a sense of belonging. So, what do I do next now my studies are over, Art of course but my goal is to do workshops and get people out doing art alongside nature, having fun with art and seeing the wildlife will help to clear your head from all the cobwebs of life with fun people.
Thank you for reading this and enjoy my showcase.
Ness.
